DOWNTOWN

Pulp Fiction at Budweiser Brew House: We’re throwing it back to the glory days with the “King Kong of crime movies” at the Budweiser Brew House Beer Garden. There will be free popcorn and cracker jacks, plus great drink specials all night. “So dance good” and enjoy our free, outdoor showing of the Quentin Tarantino classic Pulp Fiction. Film begins at dusk (8PM).

Blues Cruise: Ride along the Mississippi River while listening to one of the best local blues bands playing live: Skeet Rodgers & the Inner City Blues Band. Admire the beautiful St. Louis city skyline and relax. Cash bar and concessions are available. Tickets are $22.

All Shook Up:Set to the hits of the King of Rock and Roll himself, Elvis Presley, this musical will have you dancing in your “Blue Suede Shoes” all night long. Inspired by Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, the music is all Elvis, and the result is a night of hilarious and enchanting 1950s fun. When Chad, the mysterious hip-swiveling roustabout arrives in town, suddenly everyone’s lip-curling and all shook up with secrets, music and love. Tickets start at $15.

Let Them Eat Art: Maplewood’s whimsical tribute to Bastille Day held each year the second Friday evening of July. The event features live art demonstrations by regional artists, live music, and food & drink by Maplewood’s award-winning food purveyors. Entertainment includes live music, hoop dancing, belly dancing, face painting, a juggler, a top spinner and more.

Art Hill Film Series: Enjoy free movies nights this summer on Art Hill. This Friday’s showing is the 1998 classic, Titanic, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. In addition to the movie, there will be live music, food trucks including Seoul Taco, Clementine’s, Farm Truk, Pi, Cha Cha Chow, and more, plus adult beverages, a one-of-a-kind selfie station courtesy of Oh So Vivant, fashion trucks including Miki’s Closet and St. Louis Fashion Fund, and more.

Peach Festival: Join us for all things local, seasonal and Peachy! Taste samples, listen to live music and participate in the Best Tasting Peach Contest! World Naked Bike Ride: The 10th annual event is part of an international event to raise awareness of cyclist rights and vulnerability on the road, and promote positive body image and protest oil dependency. The pre-ride WNBR festival and rally will take place on Manchester Ave. in the Grove, between Sarah and Kentucky. There will be plenty of food, drinks and entertainment and people watching for you. Including costume contests, DJs, and a performance by MarchFourth Marching Band, plus a WNBR drag show in The Grove.

Luca Hill Tie-Dye Bright Light 5k and Fun Walk: A crazy colorful fun event all about celebrating life, having fun, keeping healthy, and spreading Acrania and Anencephaly Awareness through Luca’s rain of bright light colors! Team Luca Runners will have the time of their life as they race, dance, cartwheel, flip, whatever makes them over the moon happy…all through Fort Zumwalt Park! When they reach ‘Celebration Check-Points’ a rain fall of tie-dye colors will douse them and brighten their race day shirts! The fun keeps going at the finish line where Luca’s Bright Light Celebration continues with Holi Dust Celebrations, Race Day Snacks, Funky Photo Ops, a DJ Dance Party, Tie Dying fun, Food Trucks, medals, trophies and a spectacular Kid Zone! Registration is $25.

Show Me St. Louis Reptiles & Exotics Show: One of the largest reptile and exotics shows in the Midwest in St. Louis. There will be educational tables and kids entertainment that includes a live baby Tyrannosaurus rex, face painting, balloon animals and hands-on activities. There are prizes and giveaways for lucky attendees, a live auction and best in show awards for outstanding vendors. V.I.P admission and concessions are also available, and of course, a huge assortment of supplies, frozen and live rodents, supplements, insect feeders, and a wide variety of snakes, lizards, turtles, amphibians and other exotic pets. Admission is $5 for adults, free for children.

FENTON

USL Soccer: Saint Louis FC takes on the Charleston Battery in a United Soccer League match at World Wide Technology Park in Fenton. The USL is in the second tier of professional soccer here in the United States. The local club is coached by U.S. Soccer Hall of Famer Preki, who starred for the St. Louis Storm indoors in St. Louis in the early 1990s.

2nd Thursdays: A series of free art-making events that highlight the importance of art to each person’s well-being and the unlimited possibilities that nature supplies to be creative! This Thursday’s event features the four elements – fire, wind, water, and earth – will inspire us as we create fiber art using materials from the earth, water to transfer pigment, air to dry the work, and sun to heat and set the natural dyes. Local artists will harness the power of the elements to lead participants in creating their own works of art. Valentis Delicatessen will be present on-site with their delicious food for sale.
