June First Friday: Jurassic World

No, this isn’t just a showing of Jurassic World or Jurassic Park at the Saint Louis Science Center. It’s something way cooler in a Science Center way, of course.

The Saint Louis Science Center bills its First Friday series as its “premier experience for adults” with an entire evening of events geared towards adult visitors.

Explore the Science Center while looking for dinosaurs clues in a scavenger hunt, make your own Dino Masks, learn about fossils and enjoy dinosaur-themed food and much more. Did we mention dinosaur-themed food? Because the Titanosaur Burger and the Volcanic Dino Wings sound awesome.

Dinosaur buffs won’t want to miss the presentation by palentologist Dr. Ashley Morhardt of the Washington University School of Medicine onf the Visible Interactive Dinosaur Project. Lion Forge Comics will give a presenation on creating dinosaurs in their medium and Jim Yelton of Geek Universe Radio Show will give a talk on the impact of Jurassic Park.

Free Ominimax screenings and an augmented reality pavement art presentation by Chalk Riot and pancake-making with Dancakes are also among the activities planned.

Be on the lookout for an awesome replica of the Jurassic Park jeep outside the Saint Louis Science Center Friday night. It will definitely make for a great Instagram post. Can’t get enough of people in those ridiculous T-Rex outfits? Be in the lobby of the main building at 7 pm for a treat.
