Centennial Beer Festival: This annual event kicks off with a Brewmaster 5-course dinner on Thursday evening. Then the festival continues with 2 days of tastings of over 45 local and regional breweries plus 45 craft domestic and international breweries. You will also get the opportunity to vote for your favorite home brew to determine the winner of the 3rd annual Home Brewer’s Competition. Tasting tickets are $38.75+tax or $41.75+tax.

St. Louis Blues: The Blues take on the Vancouver Canucks this Thursday. The game’s theme ticket promo code is PINK17 to promote the 10th annual Pink at the Rink Breast Cancer Awareness Night. Run For Your Beads 5K: Part of the annual Mardi Gras St. Louis festivities, runners dress up in their Mardi Gras best – purple, green and gold attire and run through the Soulard neighborhood. There are pit stops throughout which include hurricanes and beer. Prizes will be awarded to 1st Place overall men and women, 1st Place in each age division, and Best Costume. Registration is $30 in advance or $35 day of.

Taste of Soulard: The 2nd greatest part of St. Louis Mardi Gras festivites. 40 local Soulard establishments participate by offering a taste of their local menus, like crab cakes, gumbo, fish tacos, cupcakes, beignets, crawfish etouffee, voodoo shrimp, plenty of hurricanes, and more! There will be outdoor drink stations as well. Tickets are $25 and include a booklet with six food vouchers and one Cruzan Rum drink voucher. *some restaurants are Saturday only so make sure to plan ahead.

Beggin’ Pet Parade & Weiner Dog Derby: Part of the annual Mardi Gras festivities, Soulard hosts a huge pet parade with thousands of pets parading in costume through the streets of St. Louis. Pets deemed best dressed are selected as members of the Court of the Mystical Krewe of Barkus. These pets are invited to the Coronation Pageant in Soulard Market Plaza where the King and Queen of Barkus are crowned. Join the parade or bring your pet and watch the parade go by. Many floats have dog treats and other giveaways. At 2pm, the weiner dog races take place in front of Soulard Market.

Mike Doughty & Wheatus: Doughty, a cello/bass player, drums, another guitar player, an organ player, and a backing vocalist–six people who improvise changes in what the musicians in the band are doing–stopping, starting, getting louder or quieter, changing their parts, repeating their parts. The songs are Soul Coughing songs and Doughty solo songs, but none are ever performed the same way twice. St. Louis Symphony presents Ben Folds: Top Billboard and folk rock sensation Ben Folds is back by popular demand after a sold-out performance in 2014 performing fan-favorites and orchestral arrangements with the STL Symphony. Fire & Ice: The Gateway Burners and Arch Reactor are teaming up for the 7th year to present Fire and Ice. The purpose of Fire and Ice is to raise money for Gateway Art Support (GAS), a subsector of the Gateway Burners which provides art grants and funding for the annual Gateway Burn, as well as funding for Arch Reactor’s upcoming projects, classes, and innovations. This unusual event is a collaboration of Burner culture and creative technical artistry that promises to be an exciting and welcome reprieve from the frigid Midwest winter. The Hosts will sponsor a Slow Cooker Cook-off, a costume contest based on the Fire and Ice theme, and an Art and Technology silent auction at the event. Members of both organization will also have art, science, and technology displays and demonstrations for your viewing pleasure and entertainment. There will be live music from DJs, art auction, costume contest, Fire & Ice cook-off, and fire performance (weather permitting). Tickets: $12 or $20 for two – buy a ticket, give a ticket. The Great Train Expo: The nation’s only coast-to-coast model train show. The show is designed for the general public, modelers, hobbyists, families, and the just plain curious. Doesn’t know how to cook and survives pretty much on macaroni and cheese and pizza, so naturally, loves to eat out at restaurants. However, one day when she is married and has a family to cook for, she would love to take cooking classes and learn awesome skills like the chefs on Iron Chef America...as long as she doesn't have to clean the dishes afterwards.
