st. pats day St. Patrick’s Day in Downtown St. Louis: It starts with the St. Patrick’s Day run at 9am, then continues with the parade at 12pm (my 2nd favorite parade in St. Louis), and continues with a bar crawl down Washington Ave. Check here for the parade details, and the St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl info is under Saturday’s events. You can also check-out Tigin for all day live music in a heated tent.

tigin St. Patrick’s Week at Tigin Irish Pub: Tigin is hosting events all week long, starting tonight with the Perfect Pint contest at 8pm. $100 to the winner, free pints for all involved. Tuesday is Super Paddy’s Pub Quiz, an Irish trivia night starting at 8pm. Wednesday is Tullamore Dew Whiskey Dinner night. Tickets are $35 and include a 4-course dinner and whiskey tasting. Friday is Guinness Sampling night from 7-9pm. Then there’s Super Saturday. Stop by before the parade for a pancake breakfast. There will be a heated tent and live music all day. Bloody Mary Sunday will include a special brunch of “Biscuits and Gravy and a Bloody Mary” for $10 until 3 pm. Finally, Monday, the official day, will include “Pints and Pancakes” from 8am-11am. $5 cover all day and includes pancakes plus live music all day in a heated tent.

stray rescue Stray Rescue’s Guest Bartending Charity Event: Guest bartenders will be behind the bar at Tigin Irish Bar pouring pints to benefit Stray Rescue of St Louis. Matt Vorst will be guest bartender and Those Guys will be providing live music. Donate to Stray Rescue at the door and your first pint is on the house! No cover, but donations are suggested.

sxscity SXSCity: A Weekend of STL Bands, Beers, Print, Record Stores and Radio: Off Broadway is hosting it’s own music festival right here in St. Louis. Check out some of the best music St. Louis has to offer. Friday: Jungle Fire, Mikey Wehling and the Reverbs, Jason Hutto and Ransom Note. Saturday: The Blind Eyes, Jon Hardy and the Public and DJ sets from KDHX’s Jeff Herss and bobEE Sweet. Sunday: Bagheera, Jedi Nighties, Cree Rider, Karate Bikini and Tommy Halloran’s Guerilla Swing. The event is sponsored by: Urban Chestnut, 4 Hands Brewing, Schalfly, and Jameson. Tickets are $7 on Fri & Sun, $10 on Sat.

irish St. Patrick’s Events in Cottleville: The Cottleville Run for the Helmet 7K or 2-mile fun run begins at 8am by the Fire Station. After the run is the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which starts at Cottleville Pkwy & Weiss Rd. There is a free shuttle to take you to and from the parade. Head over to Exit 6 Brewery afterwards for a St. Pat’s Day party.

confluence-trash-bash Confluence Trash Bash: Great Rivers Greenway and Trailnet are inviting area residents to join them in their fight to clean up the rivers and creeks within the Confluence Greenway and the Missouri/Mississippi River watersheds. The Confluence Trash Bash is one of the region’s largest river cleanups. Volunteers will be provided a free t-shirt, bags, and gloves, courtesy of MSD. At noon, participants will return to their respective starting location for a celebration and free lunch. Prizes will be awarded to volunteers who find the weirdest, biggest, and most expensive trash.

Participating bars are: Over/Under (check-in), Flamingo Bowl, Hair of the Dog, Lucas Park Grille, Rosalita’s, Side Bar, Flannery’s, and Lola. Tickets are $20 and include free drink tickets, drink specials, and a St. Patrick’s Day medallion. They will also be hosting a photo hunt where you can win cash prizes.
