Okay, okay, so I’m getting a little ahead of myself.  But, seriously, can you blame me?  I mean, come on, who among us is rejoicing at the forecast of ice, snow, zero degree temps, and hmm…what was that, oh yeah, more snow!  Yucktastic.

I have a great idea.  This weekend let’s all pretend it’s Spring!  And I already know what you’re thinking.  How do I pretend it’s Spring when there’s still three inches of solid ice frozen on my front lawn and my car is covered with a ‘dusting’ of snow?  Well, I’m going to tell you….

Missouri Botanical Gardens is having their 2011 Orchid Show which features about 800 blooming orchids.  Orchids –>Flowers –> SPRING!!!  Woo-hoo!  In a November press release about the Orchid Show, Pat Scace, a floral display designer said, “We were inspired by and took our cues for this year’s display from ancient Maya and Aztec culture, combining our colorful orchids with an eclectic mix of themed pieces.  Our goal is to create a visually-stunning tropical display, perfect for a winter retreat.”

A winter retreat…I’m feeling warmer already!  So grab your camera and your kids (Millsy too!) and pretend it’s Spring all weekend long!!!
