The St. Louis weekend events for Thursday, November 9th through Sunday, November 12th feature Veterans Day activities, Kathleen Madigan, St. Louis Blues, On Your Feet, Flyover Comedy Festival, Portropolis, and more.

DOWNTOWN

St. Louis Blues: The Blues play at home this weekend with games on Thursday and Saturday. Thursday they take on the Arizona Coyotes at 7pm and Saturday’s game is against the New York Islanders at 7pm. Go Blues!

Veterans Day 5K & Parade: The Veterans Day 5K, Ceremony and Parade on November 11, 2017 at 9am, will honor veterans and help end homelessness. This family-friendly event includes a timed 5k, One-mile fun run & walk, free kids’ dash, parade, ceremony, moisture wicking shirt, DJ, hot chocolate and coffee courtesy of Ronocco, face-painting, bubble bus, photo booth, chiropractic massages and muscle work, play time with puppies from the APA, snacks, beer courtesy of Anheuser-Busch, photo opportunities with Fred Bird, Louie and a Budweiser Clydesdale, parade, ceremony and awards. Walkers and pets are welcome!

Kathleen Madigan: Bothering Jesus Tour: Originally from St. Louis, Kathleen Madigan has been performing for over 25 years and has performed on nearly every late night show ever made. Leno, Letterman, Conan, Ferguson and most recently in 2015 on the new The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, and Ron White’s Salute To The Troops on CMT, her fifth appearance on the annual show. In 2014, Madigan was nominated for an American Comedy Award for Best Concert Comic and her third one hour special, Madigan Again, was named one of iTunes Best Comedy Albums. She’s won the American Comedy Award for “Best Female Comedian” and the Phyllis Diller award for “Best Female Comedian.” She remains the only comedian in the history of NBC’s Last Comic Standing to go unchallenged by any other comedian–meaning no comedian would say they were funnier than her. Madigan was a top three finalist in Season 2 and and a judge on Season 5.

Women’s Auxiliary Arts & Crafts Boutique: The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary is hosting its annual Arts & Craft Boutique just in time for some holiday shopping. A wide variety of handmade items will be available for purchase. The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary is a terrific group of women who help promote public understanding of The Salvation Army programs, provide hands-on assistance for projects such as Tree of Lights, and raise funds through a variety of events – like the Arts and Crafts Boutique. All monies raised stay in our community, in fact 86 cents of every dollar The Salvation Army raises stays in the community supporting a variety of social service programs in Southern Illinois and Missouri.

Czech Fest: The American-Czech Educational Center invites you to Czech Fall Festival. St. Louis Ambush: The Ambush kick off the home portion of the season on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 7:05 p.m. at the Family Arena against the Milwaukee Wave. November 11 is also Veterans Day, and the Ambush will recognize our Veterans during the game.

However, one day when she is married and has a family to cook for, she would love to take cooking classes and learn awesome skills like the chefs on Iron Chef America...as long as she doesn't have to clean the dishes afterwards.
