Last Time Out For Saint Louis FC

As we wrote about earlier this week, STLFC did not get a desperately-needed win last weekend against the Harrisburg City Islanders. The local club instead fell to the Islanders by a 2-0 score.

With the loss, Saint Louis FC was eliminated from playoff contention.

STLFC head coach Preki missed the Harrisburg City match while serving a one-match suspension. The coach was suspended after being sent off late in the club’s last home match against FC Cincinnati.

Last Time Out For Richmond

The Richmond Kickers played Orlando City B to a scoreless draw through 79 minutes last Sunday in Richmond. In the 80th minute, Hadji Barry scored what would be the deciding goal in a 1-0 OCB victory.

The Kickers will be without midfielder Oscar Umar in St. Louis this week. Umar was sent off in the 90th minute Sunday and was handed a one-match suspension by the USL.

Help The Louligans Reach Their Fundraising Goal

Heading into this weekend’s final match the St. Louligans supporters’ group is $623 for a fundraising goal of $20,000 for the season.

The Louligans host a pre-game tailgate each week with Charity Du Jour donations going to a different charity each week. $9,377 has been raised so far this season for various charities.

Jim Kavanaugh and Tom Strunk, CEO and CFO of Saint Louis FC, respectively, announced earlier this season that they would be contributing $10,000 towards the Louligans’ fundraising efforts at the end of the season.  Their contribution would then be split between the Charity Du Jour charities donated to during the season.

At the end of this season, the St. Louligans will have raised and donated more than $40,000 to various charities since 2015.

The St. Louligans tailgate can be found in the back of the main Soccer Park parking lot. It begins at 5: 30 pm on Saturday and nachos on the menu.

Merchandise will be on sale and the group has several raffle prizes up for grabs, like a STLFC signed jersey, a copy of FIFA 18 for the PS4 and more.
