This Valentine’s Day, Netflix and Michael Bolton have quite the treat for you with Michael Bolton’s Big Sexy Valentine’s Day Special. Stream it now on Netflix.
Bolton, otherwise known as “The World’s Greatest Lover” has teamed up with Andy Samberg and the folks at Loney Island for this wonderful tribute to a Hallmark holiday. It’s the same team that did the wonderful “Jack Sparrow” song and video that premiered on Saturday Night Live back in 2011. Bolton also performs the song in the Netflix special.
The show stars Bolton, or course, and features cameos by stars including Maya Rudolph, Will Forte,Michael Sheen, Adam Scott and Chris Parnell. Andy Samberg also appears as Kenny G. It’s directed by Akiva Schaffer and Scott Aukerman. The real Kenny G also shows up in the special as a janitor.
The Atlantic had a glowing review of this one-hour comedy. a star-studded oddity that’s part-PBS telethon and part-depraved sex comedy, like the love child of Lawrence Welk and Lena Dunham.
