Opening This Weekend
Natalie Portman stars as as Jacqueline Kennedy in Jackie, in theaters this weekend. The film follows Portman’s Kennedy in the immediate aftermath of JFK’s assassination. Critics have are talking a possible Best Actress win for Portman come awards season and a possible Best Picture nod for the film, among other awards.
The film comes to theaters with a lot of good press behind it. Peter Travers of Rolling Stone gave the movie 3 1/2 stars out-of-four in his review of the film.
Incarnate is in theaters this weekend to tickle your scary movie bone. The film stars Carice van Houten, Aaron Eckhart and David Mazouz. Buckle calls the way the film portrays demonic possession “terrifying” and unlike much has been done before.
You may remember Eckhart from his turns as Harvey Dent in The Dark Knight and President Benjamin Asher in Olympus Has Fallen and London Has Fallen. Game of Thrones fan will recognize van Houten, who plays Melisandre on the series. 16-year old David Mazouz plays a young Bruce Wayne in Gotham.

Make It A Redbox Night
Kevin Spacey, Christopher Walken and Jennifer Garner star in Nine Lives, now available at your local Redbox. While I think the movie looks like it might be worth the rental, it did not do well at the box office with under $20 million total in receipts. The film was in theaters for 84 days, according to Box Office Mojo. It earned more than $1 million on just seven of those days.
The Wild Life, Anthropoid and The Intervention as also now available to rent at Redbox.
