Netflix Renews Fuller House
Netflix announced today on Twitter that Fuller House is getting a second season. Sometime next year we’ll find out how D.J. Tanner-Fuller’s love life turns out, where Kimmy and Fernando stand, and what celebrity DJ Tanner will date for a couple episodes.
Get ready for season 2 of Fuller House.
As I linked to in a previous post on Fuller House, many critics aren’t high on the show. They also hate puppies. I binge-watched the whole season in a day and loved it. It’s true the first episode is kind of it’s own thing versus the rest of the show, but it works.
The returning core cast of Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber have even better chemistry than I remember from the original Full House. One new cast member really steals the show as the series moves along, however. Elias Harger as the son of D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Bure) just gets better as the series moves along. Soni Bringas as Ramona Gibbler and Michael Campion as Jackson Fuller are both solid in their roles, but Max steals the show.
While the original’s adults aren’t featured in the show, they make just the right amount of cameos. Uncle Jesse (John Stamos) beginning sharing videos of the case several days ago from just after the final episode of Full House.

What should we expect on season 2 of Fuller House? We’ll of course be subjected to lots of speculation on whether Michelle, played by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen in then original show, will be featured in season 2 rather than just talked about. It’s highly unlikely. Dave Coulier (Uncle Joey) recently spoke to Mashable about where he wants to see his character in season two. He speculated that it would make sense to have Elizabeth Berkley play his wife that is talked about, but never shown in season one of Fuller House.
We’re excited for season 2 of Fuller House around the office, critics be damned. My one request is I want to see more dancing. I mean with Jodie Sweetin appearing on season 22 of Dancing With the Stars I feel like she’ll need to show off her new moves.
