The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 1 opens this weekend in theaters

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 has the new releases list all to itself this weekend as no one wants their movie to open next to it.

Recapping Last Weekend

Dumb and Dumber To barely edged out the second weekend of Big Hero 6 to take the top spot at the weekend box office. The Jim Carey-led sequel brought in $36 million to Big Hero 6‘s $34.66 million. Big Hero 6 has now brought in over $150 million worldwide in less than two full weeks of release. Interstellar‘s receipts fell 40 percent in its second weekend to $28.3 million. No matter the drop, the $165 million Christopher Nolan project has pulled in almost $226 million in foreign markets and now sits at $327.5 million worldwide in exactly two weeks of release. It was a large fall for the rest of the box office, with Beyond The Lights taking in $6.2 million in fourth place and Gone Girl bringing in $4.5 million to round out the top five.

Ryan is a weird dude. He doesn't cook, yet owns a plethora of kitchen gadgets. He rationalized buying a SodaStream while unemployed. He counts Step Up 2: The Streets as one of his favorite movies along with Footloose, Rent, Grease and Paul Blart: Mall Cop. He loves Mizzou but only wants them in the SEC so he can tailgate in Nashville. He owns a ShakeWeight and AbLounger, but still loves him some John Donut and Billie's Fine Foods. You can get more of Ryan at iLoveSoulard.com or just check the stool on the far end of the bar at iTap in Soulard.
