Mardi Gras Revelry

You can still enter your pet in the parade at The Barkus Pet Parade website. Then after the Pet Awards, hang out for a concert by the one and only BareNaked Ladies at 2:30!

Are you more of an advanced planner? Feeling that SPRING FEVER in the air? There are three big events coming that you will love!

john godwin It’s not only about boats, folks! This is your outdoor sportsman’s paradise! From hunting, fishing, boating, and outdoor cooking, this event has something for everyone. Bring the kids and teach them how to fish in an indoor pond or give them a lesson on scuba diving (must be 10 or older) in the tropically heated tank. On Friday night, make it a date and stop by the Anchors & Ales Local Craft Brew Sampling from 5–10pm to taste local craft beers from 4 Hands, Schlafly, Morgan-Street, O’Fallon, Shock Top, and more. Are you a Duck Dynasty Fan? John Godwin from Duck Dynasty will be at the Boat Show on Saturday from 12-2pm and 3-5pm doing meeting and greeting. Happy Happy Happy!

HG14_ColorVertical_Display Spring for me means growing things. I get twitchy when I head to home improvement stores because I want to buy all the plants. I am in heaven at the Builders Home and Garden Show. The show is from Thursday, March 6, 2014 until Sunday, March 9, 2014 at the America’s Center. Adults: $10; Children 6-12: $4; Children 5 and Under: Free

The Builders Home & Garden Show is actually six complete shows in one – Lawn & Garden, Pool & Spa, Kitchen & Bath, Interior Design, Green Products, and Building Products. This massive show gives visitors the chance to shop all the newest and best products and services that are available in the marketplace. Exhibitors and sponsors have an opportunity to put their product or service in front of tens of thousands of potential customers at this high-quality event.  The six showcase areas offer a great shopping experience. Enormous feature gardens, local and national celebrity speakers, and family fun areas are just a few of the reasons this show is a must-see.  And, I need ideas for a new kitchen.
