christmas-concerts I’m a pretty huge fan of everything Christmas, well besides not being able to find a close parking spot at stores, and the long lines at registers when I’m trying to buy gifts, but otherwise….huge fan. I also love music. And there’s really nothing better than live Christmas music. As it turns out, the holiday concert scene in St. Louis is pretty fantastic. So I put together a hefty list of great Christmas concerts in St. Louis for everyone to enjoy. Happy Holidays!

Macy’s Festival of LightsPerformances by Moscow Ballet Nutcracker St. Louis Dancers, Salvation Army Brass Ensemble, Grand Center Arts Academy Show Choir, the St. Louis Christmas Carols Association, Muny Kids, and Show-Me Sound. Friday, November 22nd – 5pm – Kiener Plaza

Jim-Brickman Jim Brickman: The Magic of Christmas: Jim Brickman, a best selling solo pianist, will perform holiday favorites along with some of his best hits for a magnificent evening of music. Ticket prices: $27-$65. Wednesday, December 4th – 7:30pm – Touhill Performing Arts Center 

UMSL Classic Holiday Concert: The annual holiday concert featuring the University Community Chorus, University Singers and University Orchestra will perform a catalog of classic holiday music, including many traditional favorites. Free and open to the public. Thursday, Dec. 5th – 7:30pm – Touhill Performing Arts Center

santajam Santa Jam 2013: Presented by 93.7 The Bull, this Christmas country concert benefiting Youth In Need will feature David Nail & Jarrod Neimann. Tickets start at $11. Thursday, December 5th – 7:30pm – The Pageant

Bach Christmas Oratorio: A culmination of Bach’s masterful style, this uplifting and spiritual work joins soloists, orchestra and the STL Symphony Chorus under the baton of David Robertson. Tickets start at $30. Dec. 6th & 7th – 8pm – Powell Hall

Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker: A traditional holiday favorite, this show will be playing for one night only. Tickets range from $35-$90. Sunday, December 8th – 5pm – Peabody Opera House

Y98 Mistletoe Show: An evening of hits featuring Avril Lavigne, Backstreet Boys, Gavin DeGraw, Colbie Callait, and Five for Fighting. Tickets range from $29.75 – $74.75. December 8th – 6pm -St. Charles 

The Northwinds Concert Band: The annual Hometown Holiday Concert. Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students and seniors. Sunday, December 8th – 3pm – Florissant Civic Center Theatre

Charles Glenn Holiday Concert: Nationalist vocalist Charles Glenn will perform a heartwarming blend of holiday favorites and jazz. Tickets range from $12-$15. December 10th & 11th – 10am – Sheldon Concert Hall 

Kenny Christmas Kenny Rogers Christmas & Hits: The one and only, Kenny Rogers, will be gracing St. Louis with his superstar presence this Christmas. Unbelievably, tickets start at only $33. Wednesday, Dec. 11th – 8pm – St. Charles Family Arena

JingleFest 2013: A holiday fest featuring some of country music’s best singers: Jana Kramer, Dustin Lynch, and Thomas Rhett.There are tons of free tickets available at specific locations around St. Louis. December 12th – 7pm – St. Charles Family Arena

Martina-McBride Martina McBride: The Joy of Christmas Tour: Top country artist, Martina, will be joined by a 12-piece band, and a video screen depicting scenes of the season to complement the show.Tickets range from $40-$95. Friday, December 13th – 7:30pm – The Fabulous Fox.

Christmas with The Lettermen: The Lettermen, featuring the talents of Tony Butala, Donovan Tea, and Bobby Poynton take the stage at The Bezemes Family Theater in St. Charles – December 13th & 14th – 8pm. Tickets range from $31.50-$51.50.

YuleTube: The holiday concert performed by the Gateway Men’s Chorus will feature holiday hijinks, traditional Christmas melodies, and fun parodies of recent pop music. Tickets are $25. Dec. 13th & 14th – 8pm – Edison Theatre at Washington University

ambassoadors of harmony Sounds of The Season 2013: The Ambassadors of Harmony is a men’s a cappella chorus of more than 130 voices. They are known for powerful and musically masterful performances.Tickets range from $28-$38. Dec. 13th – 8pm, Dec. 14th – 2pm & 8pm, Dec. 15th – 2pm & 7pm – Touhill Performing Arts Center

Mannheim Steamroller Christmas: The STL Symphony performs a holiday concert with the sounds of Manheim Steamroller.  Tickets are $30-$70.Saturday, Dec. 14th – 7pm, Sunday, Dec. 15th – 2pm – Powell Hall

Home(s) For The Holidays: A Rockin’ Winter Party featuring Vote For Pedro, My 2 Planets, and Soul Kiss Sunday. Proceeds benefit Covenant House Missouri. Tickets are $20. December 15 – 7pm – The Pageant

straight no chaser Straight No Chaser: You may remember us sharing “The 12 Days of Christmas” in our 2012 Favorite Christmas Songs list. This spectacular all male a cappella group is touring with The Voice contestant and local St. Louisan, Caroline Glaser. Tickets range from $29.50-$45.50. December 15th – 7pm – The Fox

St. Louis Irish Arts Winter Concert: The annual Christmas Spectacular.  Ticket prices are $15 for adults, $10 for children. Sunday, December 15th – 3pm – Sheldon Concert Hall

donny and marie Donny and Marie Christmas: Donny and Marie’s famous Christmas Tour will be making a stop in St. Louis. Tickets start at $46.50. Wednesday, December 18th – 7:30pm – Scottrade Center

Funky Butt Brass Band Brasstravaganza: The 5th annual holiday show features an array of special guests, including David Grelle of The Feed, Steve Ewing of The Urge, bluesman Big Mike Aguirre, percussionist Matt Henry, and more. Tickets are $15. December 20th & 21st – 8:30pm – Off Broadway

Christmas with Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis, Jr: The award-winning duo, recording artists, performers, and authors are putting on a fabulous Christmas performance. Tickets are $28.50-$48.50. Dec. 20th – 8pm, Dec. 21st – 2pm – Bezemes Family Theater

The Nutcracker: The Missouri Ballet Theatre is performing the classic Christmas ballet, The Nutcracker. Dozens of local children will be joining the performances. Tickets are $25 to $40. Dec. 20th – 7:30pm, 21st – 2pm & 7:30pm, 22nd – 2pm & 6pm – Edison Theatre at Washington University

CoCo Soul and The Grand Center Arts  Academy Children’s Choir: A Christmas concert accompanied by photos with Santa and a toy drive. Tickets are $20 each or $40 for family of 4. Sunday, December 22nd – 3pm – Kranzberg Arts Center

trans siberian Trans-Siberian Orchestra: The encore and final performance of the multi-platinum rock opera, “The Lost Christmas Eve” will play two shows. Ticket prices range from $30-$68. Monday, December 23rd – 3pm & 7:30pm – Scottrade Center
