“Oh it doesn’t matter what you wear, just as long as you are there.  So come on every guy, grab a girl, everywhere, around the world.  There’ll be dancin’, they’re dancin’ in the street.”

If you love dance, this is the event for you! It’s time for the annual Dancing in the Street Festival on Grand Boulevard (between Lindell and Delmar, centered at Grand and Washington) this Saturday, September 29th  from 1:00 – 8:00pm. This free outdoor festival features 60 local and regional dance companies and over 1000 dancers. This non-stop day of dance includes dance styles like tap, clogging, contemporary, stepping, hip-hop, bollywood, salsa, ballet, and many more! In addition, there is a museum and gallery walk and food vendors from great area restaurants.

Check out the video from last year’s event:

I want to make sure to see some ballet too. Whew, I will have to find a way to fit it all in! Definitely an action packed Saturday!
