Nicki Minaj is coming to St. Louis!!

I haven’t been this excited about a concert being in town since college, when I saw Jared Leto on the street, followed him, and found out his band, 30 Seconds to Mars, was playing at The Canopy Club across the street from my house. I won’t go into further detail as some may think my actions became stalkerish…but the point is…Nicki Minaj is coming to St. Louis!

Thank goodness for The Peabody re-opening it’s doors so we can enjoy ridiculously amazing talents such as Nicki Minaj!

Of course, there are other amazing musical talents coming to all of our venues this year, but Nicki is just…well she’s Nicki, revered by country artists, talk show hosts, women who love the color pink, young children from England (watch them sing Starships below)…basically everyone!

Since Nicki’s career exploded in 2010, she has become like the female Michael Jackson (ok, maybe I’m being a bit dramatic, don’t attack me people), but seriously, like the whole world has created a video cover of her song Super Bass on YouTube.

Listen, I didn’t say they were all good…I’m just solidifying the point that everyone has one.

Not to mention she probably (I’m guessing) holds the record for collaborating with the most artists in the shortest period of time, and not just any old artists, she started out of the gate collaborating with some of the biggest artists in the industry, from Mariah Carey to Britney to Madonna, Rihanna, will.i.am, B.o.B, Ludacris, Chris Brown, Usher, Kanye, Sean Kingston, Sophia and Grace (haha they’re the 2 girls in the first video), and rumor has it…Justin Bieber is next. She was even cool enough to come out and sing her own song with country artist Taylor Swift on Taylor’s Speak Now Tour.

I mean, seriously, what’s next? How about her coming to The Peabody Opera House for her Pink Friday tour on July 31st, promoting her Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded album
release? Tickets went on sale May 12th so there’s probably not a lot of time left to purchase yours. Don’t miss the boat. Ticket prices start at $48.70…not too bad.

Doesn’t know how to cook and survives pretty much on macaroni and cheese and pizza, so naturally, loves to eat out at restaurants. However, one day when she is married and has a family to cook for, she would love to take cooking classes and learn awesome skills like the chefs on Iron Chef America...as long as she doesn't have to clean the dishes afterwards.
