The more I watch the news, the more frustrated I become.  Our wonderful government wonders why we’re in so much debt, but yet they continue to spend our money foolishly, day after day after day.

I think they should take a hard look at the welfare system they have in place.  I recently saw a story regarding food stamp fraud and it made me want to scream!  There are these convenience store owners who will take someone’s $100 food stamp card and give the person $50 in cash.  The store owner then turns around and sends the $100 card in to the appropriate government agency and gets full credit for the $100!

This raises so many questions for me!  First of all, it’s our money that the government is using for this program.  I don’t know about you, but I work hard to help provide for my family.  Don’t get me wrong…there are people out there that definitely need and deserve the help.  I just think our government should have policies and procedures in place to stop this type of fraud.  Am I being selfish or does anyone else feel the same way?  Just sounding off…
