It’s all I’ve been hearing about this week…PrideFest 2011(warning: turn your volume down before clicking the link) in Tower Grove Park is this weekend.
Ok, I happen to live 4 blocks from Tower Grove Park and have my share of gay and lesbian friends, but surely everyone else heard about it too right?
Well if not…here’s the scoop:
When: Saturday, June 25th-Sunday, June 26th
Time: 11:00am-8:00pm(both days)
Where: Tower Grove Park
What: A free admission celebration full of fun and festivities to promote and support love and equality for all (at least that’s my opinion of the festival).
There will be a very colorful and unique PrideFest Parade at 12:00pm on Sunday down Grand Ave, a commitment ceremony at 3:00pm on Saturday, and live music performances all weekend which include: Kimberly Locke (former American Idol contestant) and country star Chely Wright.
Whether or not you’re LGBT, come out and support your community, or just come out for the food, fun, and music…and the AWESOME parade!
