Sometimes it's the small things…

The Pour House, my favorite bar in downtown St. Louis (if you haven’t heard of it, you need to get out more) recently granted me the privilege of becoming an official member of their board.
That is…their white board, which is where you will find the names and accomplishments, written in a variety of colors, of only the coolest people who have done the coolest things in the bar.
I’ve been mesmerized by that board since the first time I walked into the Pour House, and had been contemplating how to get my name on it, suggesting ideas to friends and the bar employees, only for them to be rejected. Then one rainy afternoon, after an incident involving the bar manager and a bag of Skittles, I officially made the board!
This is clearly an accomplishment that some might say should not be shared with others, and certainly not one that everyone would be proud of, but hey…sometimes you have to live a little.
What have you ‘accomplished’ lately?….in the fun, crazy, not generally recognized as an achievement or something to be proud of and yet sometimes you just are…category.

Doesn’t know how to cook and survives pretty much on macaroni and cheese and pizza, so naturally, loves to eat out at restaurants. However, one day when she is married and has a family to cook for, she would love to take cooking classes and learn awesome skills like the chefs on Iron Chef America...as long as she doesn't have to clean the dishes afterwards.
