Fink Makes USL Team of the Week
Defender Sam Fink was named to the USL Team of the Week this week. His goal-line save Saturday in Kansas City played a small part in the accolade.
We’re still trying to figure out exactly how @samfink4’s game-saving clearance was physically possible…

Anthony Pulis Joins This Is Silly! Podcast
Saint Louis FC head coach Anthony Pulis joined the This Is Silly! podcast earlier this week for the latest episode. The hosts and “Ant” sat down for a live taping of the episode at Sugarfire 44 in Valley Park on Tuesday night.
The hosts took advantage of having the STLFC head coach on-hand for the first time in two years and covered a wide variety of topics. Among them how the chemistry of the team is coming along, just how long Pulis had been preparing to being a head coach, his excitement at finally controlling his own team and quite a bit more.

USL Taps Austin Martz & Jake Fenlason For Upcoming Podcast
Saint Louis FC players Austin Martz and Jake Fenlason started a blog earlier this season to catalog their experiences this season both in St. Louis and on the road. Plenty To Say With J & A has led to the USL tapping the friends and teammates for a new podcast. The Outside The Box podcast, part of the USL’s From The Pitch series, is expected to debut later this week. Martz and Fenlason recently wrote up a little something to announce the endeavor and recorded the video below as well.
Tailgate With the St. Louligans Saturday
As with every home match, the St. Louligans will be hosting a pre-game tailgate party outside Toyota Stadium. The lot will open at 5:30 pm on the dot. A Cinco De Mayo-themed buffet will be available and empty cups will be available for a small donation to the Charity Du Jour collection. The Louligans will also be accepting donations of new soccer balls at the tailgate. The soccer balls will help Wil Ohler achieve his dream of donating donate 800 soccer balls to kids with cancer across Missouri.
Well make that more of his new dream.
As we’ve written about before, Wil Ohler first had a dream to donate 100 soccer balls on the one-year anniversary of his own diagnosis. With the help of the St. Louligans, the St. Louis soccer community and many others, more than 400 balls have already been donated to the cause.
