The annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner happened over the weekend. Among the highlights, President Barack Obama in the last year of his presidential term, gave his final speech at the event. A fight also broke out at the event’s after-party between a reporter with Fox News and a reporter from the Huffington Post.

President Obama was also joined by former Speaker of the House John Boehner for a funny skit about a post-White House Barack Obama.

11-Year Old Shoots Burglary Suspect

11-year old Chris Gaither, of Georgia, confronted a man who broke into his while Chris was home by himself just “petting the dogs”. After first confronting the man with a knife, Chris picked up a gun after the suspect first threatened him with a gun. As the suspect was fleeing the house, Chris shot him in the leg. Above, Chris explains what happened and the suspect’s reaction to being shot to a local reporter.

Jungle Book Tops Box Office For Third Weekend

The Jungle Book topped the domestic box office for the third weekend in a row over the weekend. The Disney film pulled in $42.4 million in its third weekend and has now made $252 million domestically in three weeks of release. Its foreign total thus far of $432.7 million makes up more than 63 percent of its $684.8 million in worldwide receipts.

Keanu was the top debut film of the week with an estimated $9.35 million debut. Mother’s Day was just behind with $8.3 million and Ratchet & Clank brought in an estimated $4.8 million.

Captain America: Civil War opens domestically this weekend, but opened overseas this past weekend. The latest Marvel film took in an estimated $200.2 million.

Is Craig Wright Bitcoin Creator Satoshi Nakamoto?

The identity of the real creator of Bitcoin, who goes by Satoshi Nakamoto, has been a mystery that many people have tried to crack. Now, Australian computer scientist Craig Steven Wright is claiming he is the creator of the open-source payment system.

Fingers were pointed at Wright as Nakamoto five months ago, but Wright refused to confirm it. Today, he published a blog post on DrCraigWright.net where he confirms he is the illusive founder and includes information to confirm his claim. Media outlets like TechCrunch are not fully on board with Wright being Nakamoto.

Saint Louis FC Game Postponed, No New Date Set

Saint Louis FC was all set to face the Vancouver Whitepcaps 2 squad over the weekend at World Wide Technology Soccer Park, but the weather had other plans. As the dedicated fan base tailgated in the parking lot, officials tried to wait out the storm. Unfortunately, after 3 hours the game had to be officially called. A make-up date has not been scheduled yet.

Saint Louis FC is back in action this Saturday at Marshall Wireless Stadium against the Swope Park Rangers out of Kansas City.
