Garth Brooks will be returning to St. Louis for shows on December 5 & 6, 2014

Tickets for the two previously announced December Garth Brooks shows in St. Louis went on sale today at 10 am. Due to high demand, it was quickly announced that two more shows would be added to the stop. Garth will now play four shows while  in St. Louis on December 4-7 for The Garth Brooks World Tour Sponsored by GhostTunes. All shows will take place at Scottrade Center in downtown St. Louis.

This has been the tour’s standard procedure in cities across the United States. In the near future, Brooks has multiple shows lined up in Lexington, Kentucky, Minneapolis, Minnesota and Greensboro, North Carolina aside from St. Louis. The strategy has stifled the resale market on sites like Stubhub in many cities. For example, tickets to the October 31 show in Lexington can be had for as little as $46.25.  The face value of tickets has varied slightly based on each city’s taxes, but is usually around $71.

On this tour, Garth Brooks has already sold close to 400,000 tickets just in the Chicago and Minneapolis markets. He’s set numerous records and has even more in his sights.

Man Against Machine, featuring the latest Garth Brooks single “People Loving People” will be available in stores and as a digital download on November 11. It will be Brooks’ first studio album in 11 years.

All shows on The Garth Brooks World Tour Sponsored by GhostTunes feature Garth’s wife, Trisha Yearwood as the opener. It was recently announced that Yearwood will appear on an upcoming episode of the ABC hit Nashville.
