NBC_TheVoice_logo__111201072504 NBC’S The Voice returns for its fifth season tonight. After a one season hiatus CeeLo Green and Christina Aguilera are back in the swivel chairs to join Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. As we found out when the new Maxim came in the mail, “Xtina” is not exactly the woman you remember from previous seasons.

Season five of The Voice premieres at 7pm Central tonight on NBC with a two-hour Blind Audition premiere. It will be back tomorrow night in the same time slot. The Blind Audtions will close out next week with two hours of programming each on Monday and Tuesday.

Here’s a sneak peak at tonight’s show.

In honor of the premiere, we give you five of our favorite Blind Auditions and some new music from each artist.

Mackenzie Bourg

Made it to the Live Playoffs in Season 3 as a member of Team CeeLo. He barely survived a bout with congestive heart failure prior to auditioning for the show. You can see some of his original acoustic work here.

Audition: “Pumped Up Kicks”

New Music: “Everyone’s Got A Story”

Melanie Martinez

She made it to the Top 6 in Season 3 as a member of Team Adam. She also has a photography business, Little Body Big Heart Photography

Audition: “Toxic”

New Music: “Dear Porcupine”

Nicolle Galyon

A member of Team Adam in Season 2, she lost out to Mathai in the Battle Rounds. Nicolle and her husband had a baby girl late last year and the happy family lives in Nashville. Nicolle is a pretty well-respected songwriter. Lady Antebellum recorded her song “It Ain’t Pretty” for their album, Golden.

Audition: “You Save Me”

New Music: “It Ain’t Pretty”

Vicci Martinez

She finished in the Top 4 as a member of Team Cee Lo in Season 1. Vicci turned 29 a couple of days ago and put out a video where she admitted she may like tequila “a little too much”.

Audition: “Rolling In The Deep”

New Music: “Come Along”

Caroline Glaser

Of course we had to include the Chesterfield, MO native. On season 4, she started off Team Blake until she was eliminated in the Battle Rounds by eventual winner Danielle Bradbery. She was saved by Adam Levine but then lost in the Live Playoffs in what was a pretty controversial decision.

Audition: “Tiny Dancer”

New Music: “Rosalie Williams” (skip to the 1:55 mark)

Ryan is a weird dude. He doesn't cook, yet owns a plethora of kitchen gadgets. He rationalized buying a SodaStream while unemployed. He counts Step Up 2: The Streets as one of his favorite movies along with Footloose, Rent, Grease and Paul Blart: Mall Cop. He loves Mizzou but only wants them in the SEC so he can tailgate in Nashville. He owns a ShakeWeight and AbLounger, but still loves him some John Donut and Billie's Fine Foods. You can get more of Ryan at iLoveSoulard.com or just check the stool on the far end of the bar at iTap in Soulard.
