Boo at the Zoo

The St. Louis Zoo is one of my favorite places all year round, but especially during Halloween!  It is a great, safe place to take your children to trick-or-treat and see fun characters and the live animals too!  And, for all the parents, make sure to bring your camera because there are sure to be endless photo opportunities!  In addition to getting candy, you can purchase a cute  souvenir shirt for between $10 – $18.  Boo at the Zoo is a free event happening on Saturday, October 27, 2012 from 9-4pm.

Schedule

Trick-or-Treat: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Entertainment: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Crafts and Games: 12 noon – 4 p.m.
Costume Character Meet-and-Greet and Jamboree: 3 p.m.
Admission is free from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. only.

Even if you can’t make it to Boo at the Zoo, here is the list of orangutan-friendly candy to use at home.  Don’t forget, Boo at the Zoo Nights is also happening from October 19-30 from 5:30-8:30pm – another kid-friendly way to explore the zoo and your kids get to wear their costumes again!  It costs $5 for adults and children are free (if you have a child in costume, you get a $1 discount) – purchase your tickets online here. There are so many fun things for children to do, you will just have to check out the website.

Happy Halloween!
