What To Stream: Love on Netflix

Stream Love On Netflix

Looking for something to stream on Netflix, Amazon or Hulu? This week, we suggest Love on Netflix. Love is a quirky dark comedy from Judd Apatow and stars Paul Rust and Gillian Jacobs.

Gillian Jacobs and Paul Rust star in Netflix’s Love from Judd Apatow.

The comedian Rust co-wrote Love with Apatow and Girls writer Lesley Arfin, his wife. Rust also co-wrote Pee-wee’s Big Holiday, which debuted on Netflix back on March 4.

The Los Angeles Times wrote that Love shines a light on the “awkward, frustrating and appealing phases of navigating the L.A. dating scene.” In the first episode of the show, characters Mickey (Jacobs) and Gus (Rust) both end their relationships, setting the stage for the rest of the season and the relationship between the two characters. The series is set in Los Angeles and reportedly filmed at 69 locations other than their Culver City set during filming for the first season.

In giving 5 reasons to watch Love, Past notes that the series “is funny without trying too hard” and calls the cast “outstanding”, among other reasons. Frank Anderson of MoviePilot is among the other writers to rave about the show, calling it hilarious.
