With Series Tied, Blues & Sharks Set For Game 5 In St. Louis
The St. Louis Blues and San Jose Sharks are tied 2-2 in their Western Conference Finals series after the Blues scored 6 goals on Saturday night in Game 4. The teams meet tonight at Scottrade Center in downtown St. Louis for a hugely-important Game 5, but St. Louis may be without two important pieces.
David Backes played only five and a half minutes in Saturday’s game due to an undisclosed upper body injury. Robby Fabri only played 58 seconds in the third period of the win. Updates on both are expected this morning. Fabri leads the team in scoring with 3 goals and 11 assists this postseason. Backes is right behind with 7 goals and 6 assists.
The St. Louis Blues has played 4 Game 5s at Scottrade Center in the last five seasons, losing all 4. The team is somewhat due for a win, don’t you think?
Jake Allen will again start in goal for St. Louis tonight. The game is set to begin at 7 PM CST and will air nationally on NBCSN.
