Trailer For New Ghostbusters Film Released
The full-length trailer for the new Ghostbusters film was released today and has quickly taken the internet by storm. The new film, starring Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Chris Hemsorth, hits theaters on July 15, 2016.
The new film takes place 30 years after “four scientists saved New York”. Now the team of Wiig, McCarthy and McKinnon must join with Leslie Jones in order to save the world.

Sigourney Weaver and original Ghostbusters Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd are all slated to make appearances in the reboot as well. Murray previously confirmed to Rolling Stone that he had filmed a cameo for the film, which is being directed by Paul Feig.
The third original Ghostbuster, Harold Ramis, passed away in February of 2014.
The original Ghostbusters film was released in June of 1984 and made roughly $13. 6 million in its opening weekend. It would eventually make almost $230 million at the domestic box office against a budget of $30 million. It received two Oscar nominations in 1984, one for visual effects and the other for the song “Ghostbusters”, losing to Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and “I Just Called to Say I Love You”, respectively. That same year, Footloose had two songs in the category, “Footloose” and ‘Let’s Hear It For The Boy”.
Ghostbusters II was released in June of 1989 and made $29.5 million in its opening weekend. It would go one to make $112 million during its theater run.
