Vladimir Tarasenko becomes the first member of the St. Louis Blues to net two hat tricks in a season since Brett Hull in the 1996-97 season. The Blues have played 31 games this season. In ’96-’97, Hull scored his hat tricks in the 35th and 54th games of the season and would go on to score 42 goals that season.

Craig Wayne Boyd won season seven of NBC’s The Voice last night. This is his first single. Boyd, a 35-year-old father from Texas, was considered by many to be the underdog of the final four. The Washington Post points out why Boyd was never actually the underdog amongst the four, which also included Matt McAndrew, Chris Jamison and Damien.
