Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

Caesar and the rest of the evolved apes last appeared in theaters in 2011, where Rise of the Planet of the Apes grossed $177 million domestically. Rise opened just shy of $55 million in ’11. Andy Serkis, who plays Caesar, gave a Q & A to The Hollywood Reporter about how the cast prepared for the film. Many media outlets, including the New York Daily News, say that Matt Reeves and Mark Bomback may have made a sequel better than the original.
