Who would have thought that everything you need to know about St. Louis could be right at your fingertips? Welcome to the world of cyberspace where anything you need to know can be answered in a second. Looking for a restaurant in the Lou with great steaks? There’s an app for that! What about the best places in St. Louis to spend your weekend? There’s an app for that! Missed the news broadcast and forgot to set the DVR? Yep, you guessed it! There’s an app for that too!
I had no idea there were so many cool apps out there for St. Louisians and STL tourists. Many of them are free, but some may charge a small fee. Here are a few of my favorites:
Great Day St. Louis App: Great Day St. Louis is the most popular local daytime show in the Lou. It’s the perfect one-stop-spot for great tips, trends, product reviews, recipes and current headlines.
Gateway Arch St. Louis App: The perfect app for tourists. Leave the camera at home; this app offers the best pictures of the St. Louis Arch, one of the most famous monuments in the world! It has every angle, color, style and view imaginable, and you can share them and use them as your Facebook timeline photo or for a blog post.
St. Louis City Guide Mall App: This app will help the average St. Louisian navigate your daily routine through the city of St. Louis. If your car breaks down, find a mechanic. If you need a tasty restaurant for lunch, it’s in there. It’s also packed with tons of STL info on current events, places to go and the latest STL news.
St. Louis Public Radio App: It allows you to listen and locate your favorite radio stations in the Lou. You can listen live, rewind, or pause your favorite station! Explore on-demand content, search for stories, bookmark a story for later, and wake up to St. Louis Public Radio with the alarm clock!
St. Louis Baseball: Keeps you on top of the latest Cardinal news, game feed, calendar, standings, stats and highlights.
These are just a few of my faves. The next time you log in to your Google store, type St. Louis and click the search button. You will find over 300 St. Louis apps to make your life a little easier and I’m all about making things convenient. So many apps…so little time!
