Metrolink Prom 2011

I hope Goodwill has stocked their shelves with the fancy, large sleeve, poofy prom dresses from the 80’s because they are in for a night on the town tomorrow.  Yes, the 4th Annual Metrolink Prom is this Friday, October 7th beginning at 7:00 at the Forest Park Station!  And good news, they even crown a prom King & Queen, so if you have dreamed your whole life of wearing the somewhat elusive jeweled prom head piece…the time is now.  You even get to promenade in your new-found royalty from the Skinker metro stop to the Moonrise Hotel rooftop bar on Delmar to celebrate your glorious win!

In honor of the 5th birthday of the Blue Line (which offers stops in Maplewood, Shrewsbury, and Richmond Heights) they are asking attendees to dress in blue prom attire or costumes.  And just like in high school, you don’t have to have a date – stag and/or group dates are encouraged and your parents will approve too!

Why didn’t I know about this earlier?  Has it really happened 3 other times and I missed it?

Cost: $2.75 (For your metro pass)

Don’t let anyone put you in the corner, it’s time to DANCE and celebrate how connected our city has become!

P.S. If anyone is going, we highly encourage you to send in your photos millsbloggers@gmail.com!
