I'm Bringin MySpace Back…Yeah

He should totally re-make his song!

Ok, if you don’t know what I’m talking about, Justin Timberlake recently bought MySpace with some other company and plans to bring it back!

I personally, was a huge fan of MySpace. I used to browse the Indie (gotta love Urban Dictionary) and unsigned sections for new and upcoming artists and often found some great songs to share with friends. And while I love Facebook, it’s not beneficial for the music industry.

Timberlake stated: “There’s a need for a place where fans can go to interact with their favorite entertainers, listen to music, watch videos, share and discover cool stuff and just connect,” and I absolutely agree with that! MySpace…I Want You Back.

While YouTube has music and videos and the options to search for various types of music, it’s not as search friendly. And sure you can comment on videos, but with MySpace, you could go to the band’s page, listen to a bunch of different songs, check out pictures of them, find concert info and be able to have conversations with them…and all on the same page.

I find it interesting that Justin recently played in a movie which questioned Zuckerberg’s character and suggested he stole someone else’s social media idea, and now he’s re-vamping what was once a top social media site which could result in competition for Facebook…watch out Zuckerberg…What Goes Around, Comes Around (sorry, I just couldn’t help myself).

Oh, and be prepared for me to respond to all comments with a Justin Timberlake/NSYNC song title or lyric. Challenge anyone?
