Snow Ball The temperature isn’t really dropping and winter has been really easy on us this year.  Not that I mind the 50 and 60 degree weather in January, but I have a collection of wool sweaters, socks, hats and scarves that are just not getting the attention they need. Unfortunately(or fortunately), they will have to wait, but I can still enjoy the other cool stuff that cold weather has to offer. How?? The Loop Ice Carnival in one of St. Louis’ coolest neighborhoods.

The whole thing kicks off Friday, January 18th with The Snow Ball at the Moonrise Hotel.  Dress to impress (specifically in icy white attire). It starts at 7pm and the most creatively dressed will be crowned the Ice King and Queen.  Tickets are $30.00 and include hors d’oeuvres, a complimentary “Cosmonaut” on ice and 2 drink tickets.

Saturday starts at 10am with the Frozen Buns Runs, if you don’t want to freeze your buns, you can also enjoy: Ice slides, Temporary tattoo scavenger hunt, Putt putt pub crawl, Human dog sled race, Ice carving, Stilt walkers, Penguins walking around, Art exhibits, Music, and much more. Check out the full schedule of events here.

Make sure to bring your camera as I am sure there will be a million amazing photo opportunities.  Make sure to share them with us!
