DOWNTOWN ST. LOUIS

St. Louis Cardinals vs Chicago Cubs

The Chicago Cubs are in town this weekend for a three-game series with the Redbirds.

For Saturday’s afternoon contest, the first 30,000 fans 16 & older will receive a pet jar courtesy of Purina. Friday and Sunday’s night games are Academy Sports + Outdoors and Prairie Farms Ice Cream Sunday, respectively.

Miles Mikolas and Luke Weaver are scheduled to start the first two games of the series for Matheny. The Sunday starter has not been named yet.  Saturday’s game is set to be the free game of the day.

Cinco de Mayo Street Festival At Roaslita’s

Rosalita’s Cantina is holding its annual Cinco de Mayo street festival on Saturday, May 5. They’ll be plenty of great food and music along with a mechanical bull, photo booth and much more. The festival runs from 11 am – 11 pm.

Derby Day at 360

The Kentucky Derby takes place this Sunday and St. Louis has several places to celebrate. One of those place is 360 St. Louis atop the Hilton at the Ballpark hotel.

There will be contests for Best Dressed and Best Hat as well as hors d’oeuvres and specialty cocktails.

10% of the $45 tickets goes to Make-A-Wish Missouri.

St. Louis Microfest

The 23rd annual edition of St. Louis Microfest takes place May 4th and 5th in the Upper Muny parking lot at Forest Park.

This year’s event will start with the first session on Friday night from 6 pm – 10 pm. There are two sessions on Saturday with one running from 1 pm – 5 pm and another from 6:30 pm to 10 pm.

Ticket sales through the event itself have ended, but check the website to get a head start for next year.

Spring For Strays Rooftop Party

Stray Rescue is hosting a fun event on the Moonrise Hotel rooftop this Sunday. According to the event Facebook page music, drink specials, ad a Drag Queen show are on the agenda. There will also be live and silent auctions to raise money for the rescue organization.

Tickets to the event are $10.

Cinco De Mayo 2018: A Cherokee Street Festival

Cherokee Street just south of downtown St. Louis is the place to celebrate Cinco De Mayo in town. the all-day festival will feature plenty of authentic food and drinks,  live music and other a whole bunch of other entertainment.

The highlight of the day, the People’s Joy Parade, takes place at 1:11 pm.
