Jeremy Stephens Vs Doo Ho Choi

Jeremy Stephens fights out of Alliance MMA in Des Moines, Iowa. The 31-year old known as “Lil’ Heathen” is 26-14 as a professional fighter. He last fought on September 9, 2017 at UFC 215. Stephens took the win with a third-round decision over Gilbert Melendez. Their fight was named Fight of the Night, the second such honor for Stephens.

Doo Ho Choi, known as “The Korean Superboy” fights out of Busan Team Mad in South Korea and is 14-2 as a professional fighter. The fight in St. Louis will be his first since being defeated by Cub Swanson on December 10, 2016 for his first loss since 2010. That fight, which snapped a 12-match winning streak for the South Korean  was named ESPN’s Fight of the Year in 2016.

Doo Ho Choi’s streak included seven first-round wins by knockout.

Choi was scheduled to fight Andre Fili at UFC 214 in July, but was forced to bow out after suffering a “serious injury.” That back injury led to the fighter’s long break between fights.

40-Year Old Belfort To Fight Hall

40-year old Brazilian fighter Vitor Belfort will take on 33-year old New Yorker Uriah Hall in St. Louis as well.

Vitor “The Phenom” Belfort fought his first professional fight way back in 1996 at SuperBrawl 2 in Hawaii. His fighting career has featured wins over Wanderlei Silva, Randy Couture and Dan Henderson. It has also featured losses to Henderson, Jon Jones, Anderson Silva, Tito Ortiz, Couture and Chuck Liddell.

Uriah “Primetime” Hall has a career record of 13-8, which includes a second-round technical knockout of Krzysztof Jotko back in September in his last fight.

Dancing With The Stars Alum Paige VanZant Will Fight At UFC St. Louis

The UFC Fight Night 124 card is set to feature four bouts between female fighters, including Paige VanZant stepping into the Octagon versus Jessica-Rose Clark.

VanZant is likely the one name non-MMA fans will know on the card. The 23-year old fighter finished as the runner up on season 22 of Dancing With The Stars despite her and her partner,  Mark Ballas, earning more points than any other pairing during the season.

Paige “12 Gauge” VanZant is currently ranked #12 overall in the Women’s Strawweight division.  The St. Louis fight will be her first since losing to  Michelle Waterson in December, 2016.

“Jessy Jess” Clark is on a two-fight winning streak after beating Bec Rawlings back in November by split decision.  VanZant defeated Rawlings  in August 2016 by knockout 17 seconds into the second round.
