“Look What You Made Me Do” Is First Single From Upcoming Taylor Swift Album, Reputation

Taylor Swift is dead.

Well, the old Swift is dead. The sweet little blonde girl that burst onto the country scene singing about Tim McGraw is dead.

Who declared her dead? The new and improved Taylor Swift.

Swift released the first single from her upcoming new album, Reputation, last night. The full album is expected to be released on November 10, 2017 and is available for pre-order now on iTunes.

Reputation will be Taylor Swift’s first album since 2014’s mega-popular 1989.

The music video for “Look What You Made Me Do” gets its world premiere this Sunday at the MTV Video Music Awards.

This year’s VMAs are being hosted by Katy Perry. Perry and Swift were once publicly friends, but have been in a publc feud as of late.

Good Morning America gave fans a first look at the video Friday morning.

The single sound a little familiar to you? That might be because you’ve heard “I’m Too Sexy” by Right Said Fred. Swift’s single borrows from the song by the British trio and they get a writing credit on the track.

Swift set the internet on fire last week when she erased the content on her social media accounts and started putting out cryptic images, leading to the speculation about a new album.

Reputation will be Swift’s sixth studio album. She released her self-titled first album back in 2006 and has sold more than 33 million albums since worldwide.

Of course anything Swift does inspires thinkpieces. The Ringer has a story about how the singer supposedly titled “How To Botch Your Cryptic Social Media Album Rollout.”

I don’t care what Taylor Swift does. I will always think her best work was this performance of “Should’ve Said No”.
