Ghost in the Shell, Boss Baby and Zookeeper’s Wife Opening In Movie Theaters Across St. Louis This Weekend
Ghost in the Shell, The Boss Baby and The Zookeeper’s Wife open in theaters around St. Louis this weekend as the only movie opening in wide release. Hidden Figures is among the films opening at Keller 8 Cinema this weekend. Patriots Day is among the movies now available to rent at Redbox.
Ghost in the Shell opens tonight at MX Movies in downtown St. Louis. Power Rangers and Beauty and the Beast will also be showing throughout the weekend.
Recapping Last Weekend
Beauty and the Beast took the weekend box office crown in its second weekend of release with $90.4 million in receipts. As of this writing, the Disney remake has brought in $335.5 million domestically and $731 million worldwide in 12 days of release.
Power Rangers was the top debut film over the weekend with $40.3 million. Life brought in $12.5 million while CHiPS brought in $7.7 million.

Scarlett Johansson stars in Ghost in the Shell, in theaters this weekend. This science fiction action film is directed by Rupert Sanders and based on a Japanese comic. More than one review calls the film “darkly imaginative” and wonders just how close this reality could be. The answer? It could be closer than you think.

The Boss Baby
The Boss Baby is an animated family comedy starring the voices of Alec Baldwin, Steve Buscemi, Jimmy Kimmel, Lisa Kudrow and others. Tobey Maguire narrates the story of the suit-wearing, briefcase-carrying baby sent to save the world.

The Zookeeper’s Wife
Jessica Chastain, Johan Heldenbergh and Daniel Bruhl star in The Zookeeper’s Wife. Jan Zabinski (Chastain) and her husband Antonina (Heldenbergh) are living in Warsaw, Poland in the 1930s as caretakers at the zoo. The couple uses their zoo to hide and rescue Jews when the Germans invade the area. The film is based on the true story as told in the book of the same name by Diane Ackerman.
The Zookeeper’s Wife is only playing at one theater in St. Louis this weekend, Landmark Plaza Frontenac Cinema.
