A Dog’s Purpose, Resident Evil: Final Chapter and Gold are in theaters around St. Louis this weekend.Hacksaw Ridge and Underworld: Blood Wars begin showing at Keller 8 Cinema. Snowden and USS: Indianapolis: Men Of Courage are among the movies now available to rent at Redbox.

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter opens tonight at MX Movies in downtown St. Louis. Hidden Figures and xXx: The Return of Xander Cage will also be showing throughout the weekend.

Recapping Last Weekend

Split topped the weekend box office over the weekend with a debut just north of $40 million, four times its reported budget. xXx: The return of Xander Cage topped $20 million in its debut, while The Founder opened with $3.4 million on just 1,115 screens across the country.

Hidden Figures dropped from the top spot at the box office, but still saw receipts of $15.7 million in its fifth weekend of release. The film made for an estimated $25 million now claims a total haul  of more than $84 million domestically since its release.
