Trolls and Doctor Strange Open In Theaters This Weekend

Trolls and Doctor Strange debut in movie theaters around St. Louis this weekend. Suicide Squad, Hell or High Water and Don’t Breathe Open at Keller 8 Cinema. Star Trek Beyond and X-Men Apocalypse are among the movies now available to rent at Redbox.

Doctor Strange opens tonight at MX Movies in downtown St. Louis. Boo! A Madea Halloween and Inferno will also be showing throughout the weekend.

Recapping Last Weekend

Boo! A Madea Halloween took the weekend box office crown for the second consecutive weekend. Its $17.2 million second weekend easily beat the $14.86 million debut of Jack Reacher: Never Go Back.

The Accountant and Ouija: Origin of Evil rounded out the top five.

Opening This Weekend

Doctor Strange

The latest Marvel flick comes to theaters this weekend with Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange. Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Benedict Won and Michael Stuhlbarg are also among the cast.

Todd M. Thatcher predicts a $77.3 million opening for Doctor Strange this weekend.

Trolls

If you’re looking for some animated fun this weekend, Trolls is your jam. Justin Timberlake, Anna Kendrick, Zooey Deschanel, Jeffrey Tambor, James Corden, John Cleese, Gwen Stefani and John Cleese are among the all-star cast lending their voices to this one.

I’m fully expecting this movie to be a 92-minute version of “Can’t Stop The Feeling.”

Todd M. Thatcher predicts an opening weekend of $34.6 million for Trolls this weekend.

The latest X-Men film, X-Men: Apocalypse, is now available to rent at Redbox after making $544 million worldwide in theaters.
