Holiday Attraction Brewery Lights Adds Ice Rink, Blues Alumni Partnership For 2016 At St. Louis Brewery

St. Louis Blues legend Brett Hull flipped a switch last night and officially launched the 2016 edition of Brewery Lights at the Anheuser-Busch brewery in the Soulard neighborhood of downtown St. Louis.

The popular holiday attraction is also happening at the Anheuser-Busch InBev facilites in Ft. Collins, Colorado and Merrimack, New Hampshire.

This year is the 31st year for the holiday tradition at the historic landmark in south St. Louis. The grounds will be lit up with thousands (like 700,000) of colorful lights each night until after the first of the year. This year, for the first time, the attraction will also feature a custom-built ice rink for visitors to skate on. The ice rink is part of a partnership with the St. Louis Blues Alumni Association that’s new this year.

Also part of the partnership, members of the Alumni Association will be in attendance on Thursdays and Sundays to sign autographs for fans. Some will even take to the ice to skate with fans. Announced former players participating include Bobby Plager, Terry Yake, Bob Gassoff Jr., Cam Janssen, Mike Zuke and Reed Low.

Visitors can walk through the lit brewery grounds on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights between 5 PM and 10 PM. On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights, visitors are invited to drive through the grounds.

On nights the grounds are open for walking tours, visitors 21 years of age and older can get a wristband good for five 5 oz samples for popular Anheuser-Busch InBev products. Skate rentals will be availabel at the Bud Light Ice Rink for a donation to the St. Louis Blues 14 Fund. Hot chocolate and kettle corn will also be available for purchase.

Pick up some Christmas gifts while you’re at Brewery Lights from the Stella Artois Market where local vendors while be hawking their wares. You can check out the website for a list of vendors. The Budweiser Gift Shop will also be open to take your money in exchange for great gifts.

There will be food available on the brewery grounds at various food stations. Items like chili, chicken tenders, bratwurst and more will be available.

S’more kits will be available for purchase on Thursday-Sunday nights to use at the fire pits throughout the grounds.
