The Second Half of The First Season of The Ranch Is Now Streaming On Netflix

The Ranch premiered back in April of this year and reunited That ’70s Show stars Ashton Kutcher and Danny Masterson. Netflix made the first ten episodes of season one available to binge-watch then. Earlier this month, the rest of the season one episodes became available on the streaming service.

Haven’t started this show yet? Check out what we wrote about The Ranch back in April.

Netflix's The Ranch stars Ashton Kutcher
Ashton Kutcher, Danny Masterson, Sam Elliot and Debra Winger star in The Ranch, now available to stream on Netflix.

If you’re looking for something deep to get yourself wrapped up in, this isn’t it. If you want something light and fluffy and enjoyed That ’70s Show, The Ranch is something you should check out.

Kutcher developed the concept for The Ranch and only pitched it to Netflix. Kutcher talked about why he made that decision on the Recode Decode podcast. The decision boiled down to Kutcher wanting more freedom with the show. Kutcher said that while Netflix executives attended creative meetings for the show, he always felt that they were part of the creative team with him rather than his bosses.

In part two of season one of The Ranch, the Bennett family is still on the farm, but reeling from a trying ranching season. Colt (Kutcher) and Rooster (Masterson) are finding dealing with their father, played by Sam Elliot mighty difficult. The boys’ mother, Maggie (Debra Winger) leaves town in the middle of the night, forcing the three men to deal with some family issues.

Elisha Cuthbert of 24 fame plays a big role in these episodes as she tells Colt that she’s having reservations about her upcoming wedding.

The Ranch has already been renewed for a second season, which will premiere sometime in 2017. That announcement was made not long after the first 10 episodes hit Netflix.
