Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life

Need something to bring back the Gilmore Girls nostalgia more than Luke’s coffee to hold you over until the A Year in the Life debuts? Lorelai Gilmore, otherwise known as Lauren Graham, stars in Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life. The film is the first movie based on the best-selling book series from James Patterson.

Patterson is best known for his Alex Cross and Women’s Murder Club books, but he has also earned a slew of awards for the Middle School series. While the prolific author’s name is prominently displayed on each book’s cover, he has a co-author on each one. Chris Tebbetts co-wrote this particular book with Patterson.

Patterson’s books have been made into several films and television shows, including Zoo, which was recently picked up for a third season by CBS. The author thinks this film is the best adaptation yet.

“Of all the movies and TV that have been made from my stuff, this is the best,” Patterson said.

Todd M. Thatcher predicts an opening weekend of $7.8 million for Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life.
