Seasons 1-4 Of Homeland Now Available To Stream On Hulu
Need something new to stream? The first four seasons of Homeland, starring Damian Lewis and Claire Danes, are now streaming on Hulu. The political drama will begin its sixth season on Showtime in January 2017. The show has won several awards, including a Primetime Emmy and multiple Golden Globe awards. It’s stars have also been honored by those organizations.
The show’s main character, Nicholas Brody, is introduced to us as a U.S. Marines sniper that was held captive as a prisoner of war. Although he is rescued and returned to the United States, CIA officer Carrie Mathison (Danes) believes he was “turned” during his captivity and is actually working for the enemy.
Damian Lewis is one of my favorite actors on television. I loved watching him play Charlie Crews in Life, which was tragically cancelled after two seasons. You haven’t seen it? Watch Life on Hulu as well. Lewis also plays the lead role of Bobby Axelrod on Showtime’s Billions, another great show.
Claire Danes won her first Golden Globe playing Angela Chase on My So-Called Life way back in 1994. Since then, she has won several more awards, including Screen Actors Guild awards for her Homeland work as well as for her work on HBO’s Temple Grandin.
Season one of Homeland holds a score of 92 on Metacritic.com, putting it “universally acclaimed” territory. James Poniewozik raved about the performances by Lewis and Danes in his review for TIME. In a Wall Street Journal review, the critic implies you’ll be hooked after the first episode and says you’ll find it hard to wait for the next episode to come. That was, of course written back in 2011 and there are now 60 episodes of the show available to binge-watch right now on Hulu.
Just in case you haven’t watched Homeland yet and plan on starting with season one, I’ll just leave you to watch the trailer for season one of Homeland below.
