John Oliver took on the issue of debt and debt buyers on the most recent episode of Last Week Tonight. Oliver focused on the growing industry of companies buying up lots of debt on the cheap and going after individual debtors for the full amount of their debt. Some debt collectors are a bit over-the-top, as Oliver points out.

Oliver and his team set up a debt-buying company themselves and bought almost $15 million in medical debt. They paid about $60,000 for 9,000 name-long list and FORGAVE IT ALL. It just might be the “largest one-time giveaway in television history”.

Oliver focused on Donald Trump and the pretty massive number of lawsuits currently pending against him around the country.

Brock Lesnar To Fight Mark Hunt At UFC 200

Brock Lesnar will return to mixed martial arts for one night only when he fights Mark Hunt at UFC 200 on July 9. Lesnar will then appear at WWE Summerslam in August. Opponent Mark Hunt shares a common opponent with Lesnar, Frank Mir. Hunt scored a first-round knockout of Mir back in March while Lesnar lost to Mir in his UFC debut back in 2008. Lesnar then avenged the loss by beating Mir at UFC 100 in 2009. Lesnar last fought at UFC 141 in 2011.

Saint Louis FC Falls In Colorado

Saint Louis FC fell 2-0 in Colorado on Saturday evening to the Colorado Springs Switchbacks. Both Colorado goals came within the first 18 minutes of the game as the hometown team came out of the gate a bit flat-footed. STLFC was playing its third game in a week between USL and Open Cup matches on top of having to adjust to the Colorado altitude.

Saint Louis FC is now 4-4-4 on the USL season. With 16 points, they are tied for 5th in the league’s Western Conference.  The team has played three on the top teams in the conference in its last four games, including Colorado Springs and Vancouver, who are tied atop the standings.

Saint Louis FC returns to action at Marshall Wireless Stadium at World Wide Technology Soccer Park this Saturday against Tulsa Roughnecks FC. Special ticket 4-packs are available for the game from the Marshall Wireless box office for $48. Packs include four tickets and either 4 Heineken beers or 4 hot dogs and 4 soft drinks.
