American Idol Winner Stops In St. Louis On June 25th

Phillip Phillips, along with Matt Nathanson and Eric Hutchinson will be coming to the Fabulous Fox on June 25th. They could not have picked a better trio to do a show together! Phillip Phillips, in case there’s anyone who doesn’t know (shame on you) was the winner of Season 11 of American Idol, the show now in it’s 15th and FINAL season. He has a very ‘Dave Matthews’ sound (in my opinion) mixed with a little Taylor Hicks, Season 5 American Idol winner. Some of his hits include his AI coronation song and widely known “Home,” plus “Gone, Gone, Gone” and his most recent singles from his “Behind The Light” album: “Raging Fire” and “Unpack Your Heart.” I love his style and his voice and the instrumentals that just have this energy that forces your body to start moving and you just can’t help yourself.

Then there’s Matt Nathanson (sigh). Matt has been in the music industry and also the world a bit longer than Phillip, and has an equally swoonworthy voice. His hits include his 2007 Platinum single “Come On Get Higher,” plus “Faster,” “All We Are,” “Car Crash,” “Modern Love,” and “Run” ft Sugarland. His latest album “Show Me Your Fangs” was released in October 2015 and you may have heard his recent singles “Giants” and “Adrenaline” from the album.

And finally the special guest for their St. Louis show, Eric Hutchinson. I saw him perform at The Firebird back in 2012 and would love to see him again. I’ve been a fan since I first heard “Rock & Roll.” I think that was back when Myspace was still cool. He’s since released more awesome songs including “Watching You Watch Him,” “All Over Now,” “Ok It’s Alright With Me,” “Talk Is Cheap,” and “Tell The World.” His newest single “Anyone Who Knows Me” from his upcoming album “Eric Hutchinson Is Pretty Good” is also awesome and will surely be a big hit.

I just can’t imagine what could be better than these three beautiful men singing beautiful songs with their beautiful, soulful voices all in one concert…well maybe if they invited Hanson as a special guest, but that would just be beautiful overload.
