Houston Reporter Helps Rescue Man From Floodwaters On Live TV

Your car can’t float. Don’t drive into high water. Despite those two things seeming pretty obvious, people still apparently like to drive into flood waters. Or, at least, they don’t pay enough attention to NOT drive into floodwaters. Here’s some footage from Houston. Steve Campion of KTRK Houston was doing some live reporting from flooding in the area, when he and his camera man witnessed a man in a Prius drive into floodwaters. The water quickly consumes the car and as the driver opens his passenger door, Campion is heard telling him he needs to swim to safety. Campion then enters the water himself to help the man.

Saint Louis FC Plays To Scoreless Draw In Front Of Sell-Out Crowd
USL club Saint Louis FC played to a scoreless draw with the Tulsa Roughnecks on Saturday night at Soccer Park. The match was the club’s first home game of the season after four away games. The game was a sell out with 5,531 fans in attendance. KMOX’s Michael Calhoun was on hand to capture some sights and sounds inside World Wide Technology Soccer Park.
As well as being the 2016 home opener, it also was the club’s first game at the renovated St. Louis Soccer Park. Soccer Park, a St. Louis-area landmark, was devastated by flooding last spring and had to undergo extensive renovations. The St. Louis soccer community responded in a huge way raising money to renovate the park, including raising almost $100,000 at a fundraiser held at the Anheuser-Busch Biergarten.
Saint Louis FC plays their next home game on Saturday, April 30th at Soccer Park against Vancouver. Tickets can be purchased through SaintLouisFC.com. The club will take on the Sacramento Republic this Saturday night. That game can be seen for free on YouTube. Be on the lookout for the direct video link for Saturday’s game from the Saint Louis FC Twitter account.
