Located in the historic narrow gauge train station on the corner of St. Catherine and New Florissant Road, sits another fabulous Florissant Gem – de.lish Cheesecake Bakery and Cafe!
Jeff and Kris Mullersman are the proud owners of de.lish Cheesecake Bakery and Café. This quaint café offers so much variety on a daily basis. Everything is made fresh, from their breakfast quiche to their fabulous BLBs, yes their bacon lettuce bacon sandwiches are fabulous for all the bacon lovers. Who needs tomatoes when you can have extra bacon? Have a craving for a Bavarian Pretzel? You can get one at de.lish on Fridays. Finally, you can’t forget about the over 40 different flavors of baked from scratch cheesecakes. They highlight 3-5 different flavors each day, by the slice. This is not fast food! This is a good food café.
I recently had the opportunity to speak with Jeff Mullersman about de.lish. Jeff and Kris are Florissant residents who decided after making fabulous cheesecakes for family, friends and other businesses for over 20 years, to open de.lish in September of 2011. Since then, they have been voted Best New Business in Florissant and they have graced the cover of Feast Magazine as well as being highlighted in their Where We’re Dining article. They have also been voted best bakery in St Louis by Patch and best cheesecake by RFT.
They have added several items to their menu along with building an outdoor patio area for additional seating. They also plan on adding a fireplace to the patio area and expanding their menu.
The Mullersmans take pride in their business, family and community. According to Jeff, de.lish has been successful because Florissant helps promote their small businesses in a way that other communities may not.
If you find yourself in Florissant on a Friday night, come enjoy some live music, a nice cup of Thomas Coffee and a slice of some of the best cheesecake around!
