Tennis Stars McEnroe & Roddick Coming To St. Louis

Tennis stars John McEnroe and Andy Roddick will headline a professional tennis event at Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis on April 14, 2016. McEnroe and Roddick will be joined by Andy Courier and James Blake in the Champions Classic event, which is part of the PowerShares Series.

The event will consist of three matches. John McEnroe will play Jim Courier in the first match while And Roddick will take on James Blake in the second match. The third match will feature the two winners taking to the court to determine an overall champion.

The PowerShares Series will stop in 12 cities across the country this year for a one-night tournament in each. The circuit also features Andre Agassi, Pete Sampras, Michael Chang, Mark Philippoussis and others.

Andy Roddick won the 2015 PowerShares Series with 1,600 points. James Blake finished second with 1,200 points while Mark Philippoussis was third with 1,100. Roddick and Blake played in 10 and 9 tournaments, respectively. Philippoussis only played in three.

Tickets for the Champions Classic at Chaifetz Arena on April 14th run from $55 for mid-level seats to $195 for premium courtside seats. VIP Upgrade packages are available as well. A $250 ticket includes a seat in the first ten rows and access to a party with the tennis pros that will feature a full buffet dinner and open bar. A $500 ticket includes a courtside seat, a pre-match backstage meet, access to the party and a meet and greet with the participants as well as an autographed photo with the players.

The top-level packages are unfortunately already all sold out. They started at $1,145 and included all of the above perks as well as a PowerShares Series gift item and a opportunity to play a little tennis with the tennis pros.
