Who Will Move On To The Finals?

As announced on the Semifinals show, only 4 singers will make it to next week’s Finals show. Votes will be tallied before the Results shows tonight and the  top 3 singers will automatically move on to next week while the bottom 3 singers will automatically be eliminated. The 3 singers in the middle will each perform tonight and the winner of the Twitter Save will move on.

Ariel Kay of Entertainment Weekly has a recap of each performance from the Semifinals show and shares her predictions on who will make the next cut.

One of the factors that figures into voting totals is sales of each singer’s performance on iTunes. Each singer who has theirs in the top 10 there has the rest of their votes multiplied by 10. TvLine reports that 8 of the 9 semifinalists have qualified for this bonus this week. Shelby Brown was the only semifinalist not to qualify for the iTunes multiplier. Jordan Smith’s rendition of “Somebody To Love” topped the iTunes chart, just as his “Hallelujah” did last week.

Adele’s “Hello” and Justin Bieber’s “Sorry” were the only non-Voice entries in the iTunes Top 10 this week.

GoldDerby.com is predicting, by a wide margin, that Jordan Smith will win Season 9 of The Voice over Amy Vachal.

These nine contestants are looking to join the club of Voice winners that counts Javier Colon, Jermaine Paul, Cassadee Pope, Danielle Bradbery, Tessanne Chin, Josh Kaufman, Craig Wayne Boyd and Sawyer Fredricks as its current members.

Season 8 winner Fredricks, who was the first member of Team Pharrell to win and at 16-years old became the show’s youngest winner, has an EP out now, but has not released his debut album yet. He also works on his family’s farm in upstate New York.

Season 7 winner Craig Wayne Boyd may consider his biggest achievement since winning being meeting and getting engaged to Taylor Borland. The two met the day after his win. The couple is also expecting a baby girl. As far as music goes, things started a bit rocky for Boyd. He and Dot Records/ Big Machine Label Group head Scott Borchetta apparently weren’t on the same page and parted ways. He performed his newest single, “I’m Still Here” earlier this season on The Voice.

Find out who the The Voice Season 9 finalists will be tonight on NBC. Dolly Parton will be mentoring the singers and singing herself while Season 3 winner Cassadee Pope will be performing. The show airs at 7pm on NBC.
