Budweiser Clydesdales & U.S. Marines Team Up For Toys for Tots Drive

The World Famous Budweiser Clydesdales and the U.S. Marine Corps are teaming up to benefit Toys for Tots on December 12 at Grant’s Farm.

The Budweiser Clydesdales hitch  team  will be at Grant’s Farm on Saturday, December 12 from 1 to 5 pm to help collect unwrapped toys to be donated to Toys for Tots.  The toy drive will take place on the Grant’s Farm parking lot and at the Budweiser Clydesdales Stables. Your donation of an unwrapped toy will serve as your ticket into the event, which will also featuring “a variety of family-friendly activities”, according to an email sent by organizers.

During the event, the Budweiser Clydesdales and their hitch team, with their iconic red wagon, Dalmatian and drivers in green jackets, will parade around the event and be available for photo opportunities with those in attendance. U.S. Marines and will be in full dress with a military display for photos as well. A few of the other animals who make their homes at Grant’s Farm are also rumored to be attending.

Those bringing toys to donate will also receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win prizes like a Warm Springs Ranch Tour or a VIP Elephant Tour at Grant’s Farm.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Attendees 21 years of age and older can partake in complimentary samples of Budweiser.

The World Famous Budweiser Clydesdales made their debut at the Anheuser-Busch Brewery in St. Louis on April 7, 1933 to signal the end of Prohibition. The Clydesdales and their hitch team have delighted generations of St. Louisans and fans around the world ever since. Warm Springs Ranch near Boonville, Missouri hosts a state-of-the-art Clydesdale breeding facility. In St. Louis, Clydesdale facilities are also maintained in St. Louis at the Brewery in Soulard and at Grant’s Farm.

Grant’s Farm has been a popular tourist attraction in south St. Louis for decades. The estate was originally the home of the Busch family and the land is still owned by a trust controlled by members of the family.
