art fair at queeny park Spring Art Fair The Greater St. Louis Art Association presents this Spring Art Fair where up to 140 juried artists from 20 or more states will be showcasing their art. The Art Fair at Queeny Park is one of the most reputable, longest-running art fairs in the bi-state region. The Art Fair at Queeny Park presents a opportunity for the public to see and purchase original works of fine art and fine craft directly from the artists who create them. Art includes glass, photography, jewelry, clay, and much more, an art wall for the kids, jewelry and fine art décor for mom, and woodworks and pottery for dad. Plus, there will be wine tastings On Fri & Sat, and gift certificate drawings each day. Admission to the art fair is $5. Funds raised go to our Student Scholarship Fund. spring soiree Spring Style Soirée: ALIVE Magazine and Saint Louis Fashion Week have teamed up to highlight Spring 2015’s most exciting (and wearable) trends. From 5:30-6:45pm, guests will enjoy an exclusive cocktail party with passed red and white wine, complimentary appetizers by Bravo, McCormick & Schmick’s and J. Gilbert’s and a lounge area featuring music by DJ TrashTalk. Plus, The Foundrie and celebrity guest blogger Jenni Radosevich will be hosting an interactive, fashionable DIY station. Join us to honor cancer survivors as we watch them walk the runway in our opening presentation with White House | Black Market. The runway show begins at 7pm featuring styles from West County Center stores. Tickets are $15 online or $20 at the door.

brew-with-a-view Brew With A View & Celebrity Beertender Event: From barrels to bottles, Three Sixty will be celebrating our favorite craft beers in April. Kick off the celebration on Thursday, April 9th for a Brew With a View Beer Tasting Dinner. From 6:30–8:30pm guests can sample craft beers from local breweries like Perennial, Schlafly,Urban Chestnut, Sam Adams, Civil Life, 4 Hands and Kirkwood Station and many more. Enjoy your beer alongside fare from some of our favorite local purveyors. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $40 or at the door for $50. Save the date for our Celebrity “Beertender” event on Friday, April 10th. Raise a pint for a world without cancer all while being served by local celebrity “Beertenders.” All tips will be donated to Pedal the Cause — 100% of which will advance local cancer research.

blues St. Louis Blues vs the Blackhawks: Currently in the #1 spot, games this week are Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. It’s Fan Appreciation Week, so look for fun promotional items being given away at each game. Tuesday: Team Poster, Thursday: Rally Towels, Saturday: t-shirts. In addition to promo item giveaways, all fans 18 and over in attendance at the April 7, 9 and 11 games will receive a scratcher ticket. Prizes include food and merchandise discounts, jerseys, Blues tickets for the 2015-16 season and much more! bbq blowout The Twisted Belly BBQ Blowout: The second event in the Budweiser BBQ Series, it will include the main four categories (Chicken, Ribs, Pork and Brisket), but will also include a Friday Night, On Site Judging, “Anything Pork” Ancillary Category. It will be up to the team to decide what they would like to cook for the category. Rather than having the teams turn in to the judging quarters, we will bring the judges to the teams! The teams will explain their dish, how it was prepared, their equipment, or anything else they would like to discuss in the time frame. 101ESPN’s The Fast Lane will be broadcasting live on Friday from 2pm to 6pm, plus the Interactive Street Team will be on-site with opportunities to participate in fun and entertaining games to win great prizes such as t-shirts, DVDs, and more. Country singer/songwriter, Matt Jordan will be performing on Fri from 6-9pm. Country singer Matt Kennon will be performing on Sat from 3-5pm.

lofi stl Lo-Fi Cherokee: LO-FI St. Louis is an Internet video program and blog featuring live music and features about interesting people, places, and things in the St. Louis area. Lo-Fi Cherokee, which is now in it’s 4th year, is an event which brings local musicians to Cherokee street to play sets for a day while Bill Streeter and crew film them to create music videos. This year, they will be shooting 18 live music videos in 18 different locations and they invite you to watch and participate. Check the website for venues, musicians, and times. In addition to the music, the Community Arts & Movement Project will be hosting JoyRita STL, a margarita contest. Sample margaritas from a variety of locales on Cherokee and vote for your favorite and be entered to win for a gift certificate from the winning champion. All proceeds support the People’s Joy Parade on May 2nd.

soccer St. Louis FC Home Opener: Saint Louis FC picked up the first win in club history Thursday night, defeating Tulsa Roughnecks FC 2-0. Saint Louis FC will play its 2015 Home Opener on Saturday, April 11 against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. Match time is set for 7:30 PM CT at the Soccer Park. Tickets start at #15. St. Louligans tailgate will start at 5:30 in the back parking lot.

STL Marathon & Family Fitness Weekend: The Marathon Weekend features races for people of all ages and fitness abilities, and includes a marathon, half marathon, marathon relay, 5K run/walk, GO! St. Louis Read, Right & Run Marathon, children’s fun runs and a mature mile. As a St. Louis Original, participants will enjoy St. Louis-themed finish line foods: Ted Drewes, Pasta House Toasted Ravioli, and Crown Candy Chocolate, top quality race shirts, great-looking finisher medals and a post-race party with a local band. The Marathon Weekend has become a national model for other running organizations and communities, looking to inspire residents to make community wellness a priority. Commemorative 15-Year Anniversary medals awarded to all weekend event participants. Plus, there will be a Michelob ULTRA After Party featuring a local band. In addition to the races, the fitness expo, a 2-day event, is open to participants in the GO! St. Louis Marathon & Family Fitness Weekend and their family and friends. great amazing race The Great Amazing Race: A National Race Series Supporting Pediatric Cancer. A national do-it together family-friendly competition modeled after the TV show, The Amazing Race. Four teams of two people race against each other around a one-mile cross country course completing a string of fun challenges speckled every 200 yards to qualify for the Regional Championship Race and chance to win $1,500. Prepare to get a little dirty and wet. All finishers will receive Souvenir Bands for their accomplishment. Medals are presented to division winners, which are determined by grade of youngest team member. Help fight pediatric cancer by donating 2 pairs of used sneakers or running shoes to Max Cure Foundation’s Dunk Your Kicks program and receive a 2 minute time eraser token for the race. Team Entry Fee: $48 in advance or $60.00 Race Day.

Monday – Go Cards!

Because it’s the Cardinals Home Opener…and that’s considered a holiday/day off for most of us Cards fans, here’s where you can go to celebrate the day with other Cards fans:

KMOX Budweiser Kegs & Eggs: Now in its fifth year, this annual Opening Day VIP bash attracts fans from all over the Midwest to help KMOX celebrate the start of another baseball season. The event includes exclusive interviews with the owners and front office members, along with tons of baseball experiences and giveaways for all in attendance. Tickets are $50 and include: access to a huge covered VIP area, Bloody Mary Bar, The Budweiser Brewmaster Tour, a special Opening Day buffet provided by Bandana’s BBQ, access to the Rawlings Gold Glove experience, and entry into the Jack Daniels Tennessee Fire Lounge.

Opening Day at Llywelyn’s: The Soulard location will be opening their doors at 10am for Cardinals Opening Day! All day InsideSTL will be broadcasting Live. The shuttle will be running to and from the stadium so make sure to come by and join in on the fun!

However, one day when she is married and has a family to cook for, she would love to take cooking classes and learn awesome skills like the chefs on Iron Chef America...as long as she doesn't have to clean the dishes afterwards.
